I got upset yesterday because the old foundation support column was used instead of creating one

My brother with his efforts to make me save some money from building the new house didn't consider to make new foundations and columns but instead, he only allowed to make use of the near half century foundations and columns and then allowed to put concrete beams in order to "Strengthen" the structure.

I saw it as a case of wanting to make it all cheap with its costs but will be shitty in quality despite my brother telling me that the architect is saying otherwise since there is no second flooring to be done, the house is just a small bungalow type of structure but again, the foundations and columns are as old as your grandmothers which is why I am assuming that the rebars inside it are already transformed into iron oxide.

Now some recently built structures will be taken down again to make way for new foundations and columns. It means that money is wasted instead of getting thrifty. Even if some changes will be done I am still angry and upset about it because there are compromises and it will make me more crazy thinking about it once I would begin to see failing structural integrity like cracks and gaps.

I really hope that I am regarding the strength of the house but what is done is done and what will be done is being done but one thing is for sure, I lost some money in the initial stages of building this house because of unnecessary work to save money. Maybe I am just too negative about it and I should worry less, it was just what I was expecting to happen was not done which really made me to feel worried, frustrated, angry, and disappointed.
