I was able to cast my vote today thanks to my mother

I finally was able to vote again after not using my right and privilege for the last 12 years because of my physical situation back then where I was still in much pain that made me to pass the last two election events. But now there is a deep need to change our current town Mayor because of her bad politics against the townsfolks which "voted the wrong candidate". It is a fact that "birds" will know and relay who voted whom here in our town which is why most people are having a resentment over this current mayor because they can't possibly request assistance because they are treated as enemies and should be treated as one and this is what I want to change by taking part of our country's local election where I make it sure that I will add more possibility that my candidate wins.
My mother was the one who assisted me although I can do the actual voting, the election officers had allowed her to do that since she is my guardian and my parent. She was the one which took that piece of paper which has my details like my name and precinct number which is required to give to a particular election officer prior to my signing my name and taking my thumb print. She was also the one which asked some people from the election area which is our Barangay's primary school building to lift my wheelchair up to the room where I would vote. It is because we have to use the stairs to go to that particular classroom.
I mean if my father will have to assist me, he will not be able to or initiate the idea of going there beforehand and ask for the necessary steps prior to my arrival to vote. So I thank God that my mother is still around because of her big value to my life. But my father are also with us and had casted his vote at the next precinct adjacent to the classroom where I did mine with my mother. However my mother didn't vote with me as she thought that the precinct which she supposed to go and cast her vote was not the same as mine. It turns out that we had the same precinct room but she said after that she will just back there later in the morning.
Now I have an excitement to see the results of the town Mayor race because I really want our town government to be ruled with a much better leader because this one which currently holds the seat is hostile to me and my parents in terms of not getting a support just because again, we sided with the wrong candidate. In fact, that Mayor didn't won from our Barangay so the officials here and the whole Barrio suffered from her retaliation.
It is also a fact that the officials of the Municipal offices are not from our town, they live outside our province and the were only there because they were appointed by the current mayor. So the townsfolk felt bad about what happened especially after the fact that the Mayor had played bad politics against her constituents by not supporting them back, at least against the people who didn't voted for her as mentioned instead of winning their hearts by showing and doing that she is the best candidate for the Mayoralty position.
I still do not know who will win this time because usually the one which is in power has lots of resources and "machinery" because they hold and in control to the coffers of the town government for example. But the only factor now that I see is what I just discussed above where there had been resentment about this Mayor and none of it wants that shit again happening in our town, well I hope.

hello cryptoie! Are you a filipino? I hope your situation gets better everyday.
yes, he is, you too. If you read him you can read how serious his situation is but also what a miracle it is he is still in live and his health is improving after many years of dialyses. He's a true survivor and a great friend.
You are a Filipina too? Yeah, I was inspired by hus story and I really hope that one day he will be freed from dialysis
