Some of my church brethren gave me gifts of fruit and then a possible lightweight wheelchair God-willing
My church brethren went by the house yesterday to notify me that they will be giving me a lightweight wheelchair. At first I thought that they just want to buy me a wheelchair and deliver it to my home. But I was not expecting that it is from another group mission from our church which aims to grant or help members with disabilities with their needs.
Beforehand they gave me this basket of fruits, it included some bananas that my mother took before I took this picture. The banana chips and the big ripe Papaya by the way came from my brother because he makes them and also has a big garden which he planta some fruiting trees and vegetables.
I am excited to receive my lightweight wheelchair now because the one that I use is really heavy and is a burden if my parents carries it or if a group of people will carry me sitting on it because sometimes I still have to go a flight of stairs if I need it and having a lightweight wheelchair really helps a lot particularly to those people which assists me when needed.
I hope that the new wheelchair if I will receive it would suit me well because I am not truly comfortable in using it for the reason that it is big and heavy-duty. But I really like it to be reclining because I just can't sit for a long time for the reason that my backbone structure is curved and the pressure points coming from the angles would start to pester me with pain until I really needed to lie down to at least relieve the pain.
Wheelchair will cost a lot no matter whet type it is and the more feature or given purpose it delivers, the more pricey it gets. I am not asking for an expensive wheelchair but a lightweight wheelchair for that matter is more costly compared to the ordinary types like the one that I was using lately. I don't know if I will want the electric wheelchair because I can't seem to find a place where I can ever use it as there are no more places which I can go to to enjoy the outdoors nor I am wanting to wander around the grocery store or malls around the city.
Anyway, what I love about our church is that I can contact help when I needed it based on the capacity of my local church brethren (MCGI.org). It is because from time to time if I needed a transport vehicle when the roads are submerged in flood during a heavy rain event/weather, at least I have a ready-to-serve helping-hand out there. They are my last option go-to contact if our Barrio's service vehicles are not available because sometimes a patient is currently using the ambulance if not the other vehicle is out of commission or both. However I can also contact one of my brothers to drive me to and from my treatment center if all else fails.
But I do not want to be a burden to the church which is why I kept on telling them not to bother anymore. One of the officers actually asked me if what fruits which I can eat, I declined and told her not to bother buying me yesterday. But after a few hours another group of my brethren went to hand us this big basket of fruits while me and my parents are already resting. My mother only got up to check because our dog is barking until my sister which was the one that got into near our gate which was the one who received the fruits for us and then handed-over the fruits to my mother.

I am happy you have a lighter wheelchair, one sports wheelchair would be good. You can attach a front wheel and steer. It drives with one accu for many hours.
Did you figure out yet the price of a mattress?

I don't know if the brethren will cancel it or not because I already told the locale church officer that they can just help another member with needs because of the conflict to my dialysis schedule.
My mother doesn't want me to take the third set because my father has a trouble driving at night nor in the wee hours of the morning if I will switch into the first batch of patients for dialysis.
Then it is not that easy to request for change in schedule too. I really have to consider these things but if if will not be a factor I am ok with changes in schedule but the conflict is always there with as simple as change in schedule is also a problem because of it.
The visit of the group of brethren is actually a part of video program of our church called "Serbisyong kapatiran" or brotherhood service when translated in English where I will get the chance to talk to our Minister "Kuya Daniel Razon".
There is this Mattress, Single size and it is an airpocket spring type and it is breathable. Good reviews and I might consider this one Link.
Also I might want to get a new bed too. I am still thinking if I want a steel type or a wooden type. I haven't considered in purchasing until I can get a new home which is what I am thinking and is a reason why I haven't bought it yet.

I understand why it's hard for your father to drive with bad vision, and it's also not very safe still, let the church give a hand. It's good for your parents too if they have some fresh fruit.

The new brand of Vitamin K2 MK-7 capsules seems to be OK because I am not feeling that my pain issues are getting bad, it means that the brand is working as I am expecting. With some light research, the company that makes it seems to be in business for quit some time which translates about its authenticity and quality of products they sell.
I do think that I have to invest for a better bed and mattress because I realized that it is one major need that my body needs and the fact that my current bed and the foam is not serving me better because of my peculiar bone condition. It is just I had gotten used to discomfort and pain for that matter.
I would like to give you a great news that I am just a phone call or text away of we need an emergency transport service if when need arises like if there will be another flood event leading to roads being unpassable or if my father is sick and cannot drive me at some point in the future, then we can get the assistance from one of my church group for the purpose. That is if our barrio's free Ambulance service is being used or unavailable when we needed it.

I already re-checked the size of my bed, I thought that it was double but actually a single because the foam that I bought about 16 years ago exactly fits this old frame.
This bed frame is actually an old double deck bed given by our neighbor to my father after he fixed some vehicle from one site of his business. It is a junk from the military from who knows where. My father took off the upper bed and repurposed it to make a bed for my sister and now I was the one using it.
I do not like it because it sags, with the middle part lower than both ends. I am actually not comfortable lying on this bed because for one thing, I only use an old two inch thick worn-out foam where the spot where I was directly laid on with my back is already compacted and this bed frame too has to get replaced with the type of bed frame with feet or support in the middle part. I am talking about getting a steel bed frame.
I will search for the frame because I did searched for a bed frame a few years ago before but decided not to buy it in the end and now I will try to order the mattress first. Miss @wakeupkitty

I am super happy to hear you accept, not only my help, but also what the church offers you. It's always good to have a backup and in cases of need. For sure this is also good news for your parents. Even if not needed the knowledge gives an extra relieve.
