The Lion’s Scarred Face

The Lion’s Scarred Face

In the vast plains of distant lands, there lived a proud lion. His golden fur gleamed like sunlight, and his eyes were as deep as the sky. But across his face ran a great scar — a silent witness to a battle long past.

One day, a young cub approached him and asked:
— Sir, why do you have such a deep mark on your face?

The lion smiled, not with pride, but with wisdom.
— This scar taught me what it means to lose, but also the true value of survival, he said.

Years ago, he had fought a mighty buffalo to protect his pride. The buffalo’s powerful horns had struck his face, leaving the mark forever. He could have fallen that day, but behind him stood his family, his cubs. Despite the pain, he did not retreat. That day, perhaps he did not win a glorious victory, but he saved those he loved.

The lion continued:
— Scars do not show weakness; they reveal our courage, our love, and our will to survive. The scar on my face is not a shame — it is a badge of honor.

The young cub understood then: true strength lies not only in muscle, but also in the heart and spirit. And from that day on, the lion with the scarred face became a legend among the young — “the king who bore a scar on his face, but a sun within his heart.”
