Crypto prices and Steem
Things look great for crypto, Bitcoin is at well over 120,000.00 USD per token and the overall market cap is 4.18 Trillion USD. So crypto's market cap is second only to NVIDIA. Which is great and I expect it to be the first when next year begins. I had predicted a value 0f $150,000.00 per BTC for this year and I still think that is quite possible. I must say the going has been rough with some very nervous moments. But at least for now things are looking good.
Tokens for crypto blog platforms, on the other hand have not been doing so good. All of them are at very low prices, and I actually don't see any reason for these prices to improve. I do hope I am wrong, but what reason is there for these tokens to have price increases? But the one that interests us, Steem, has not been doing good at all. In January it reached a price of over $0.30 per token, but then it steadily went down until in July it hit $0.16. From that time it just sank and has been hanging between $0.12 and $0.13, today it is even below $0.12.
Of course, in this crypto world anything can happen and we could see Steem jump to unheard of highs. But trying to be realistic I see no reason for any sudden increase in price. In fact my hope is that it does not go below where it is at right now. At this point in time I would be incredibly happy if at year's end Steem has a price above fifteen cents.
