How Photography and Steemit Have Empowered My Everyday Life.
Hello my dear Steemit family,
Life, as we all know, comes with its fair share of challenges but it also offers beautiful moments that carry us through. Today, I want to open my heart and share how photography, along with your unwavering support on this amazing platform, has helped me take meaningful steps forward despite daily struggles.
As many of you know, I’m Hillary, a passionate wildlife photographer from Uganda. Nature has always been my greatest inspiration. Capturing its beauty through my lens is more than a hobby but a calling that fuels my soul.
However, turning passion into a source of income has never been easy. Selling photo prints or even digital files is challenging. I’ve had only a few customers, and unfortunately, some have even disappeared without paying after requesting images. While that can be discouraging, it has never broken my spirit or dimmed my love for nature.
In fact, it’s here on @steemit.com that I’ve found a second home. Through your generous upvotes and support, I’ve been able to do more than just keep my dreams alive—I’ve been able to live with dignity. I’m proud to say that your support has helped me pay rent for the house where I live with my loving wife. Even more heartwarming, it has allowed me to help feed and support my elderly parents back home.
Your encouragement has been life-changing.
A very special thanks goes to @elkezaksek, who has been more than just a friend—she’s been the family. After meeting her and her kind-hearted husband Michael in Uganda, her support has touched our lives in a way I can hardly describe. That brief encounter planted seeds of care and compassion that continue to grow.
To each one of you who takes time to view, comment, and vote on my posts—thank you. Your appreciation gives purpose to my work and encourages me to continue sharing the wonders of Uganda’s wildlife and culture through my camera lens.

I promise to keep you updated with raw, authentic moments from the wild and the heart of my homeland. There’s so much more beauty to share, and I am honored to do it with you.
Sending warm hugs from Uganda,
