Hello guys, how are you all doing today? So for a while now, I haven't made any drawings to post on my blog, because I have been so much occupied with work and some other personal projects. There was a time I wanted to post online, but couldn't because I was having some difficulties accessing my page. But I am pleased to be making this post today, the drawing before us is a work which shows a man wearing a stylish hat.

• A4 Paper

Progress work

Every drawing always starts with a point; in this drawing, this happens to be the early stage of my drawing. i began with sketches using my graphite pencil; those lines were faint, before i proceeded into using my charchoal pencil to thicking the edges.

In the process of thickening the edges i had use a shading technique called hatching and blurring, hatching simply means diagonal lines used in creating shades on the face of my subject. The blurring method involves use of smoothining my pencils in a way that it wont look distinct or sharp, i used my turtilion to blend some areas of my drawing.
