Living in Full Colour

I find it really fascinating how we can feel something so fiercely, so "bone deep" true, and yet the second someone shrugs it off or calls it “too much,” we start questioning ourselves. As if what we feel needs to be signed off, stamped, and filed under “approved” before it counts. As if our emotions only matter when they make sense to someone else.

No one else is living your life. No one else has walked through your victories, your heartbreaks, your midnight thoughts, or the heavy heart you’ve carried in silence. No one else knows the exact shape of your joy or the sting of your struggles. And just because someone doesn’t get it, doesn’t mean it isn’t real.

We hand people so much power over what “should” affect us, how much space we’re “allowed” to take up. But their inability to relate doesn’t make your experience any less valid. Often, the ones who dismiss or deflect your feelings are simply the ones who haven’t learned how to sit with their own. Some people haven’t yet stepped into the full spectrum of life’s colours... those raw, vivid and radiant colours that make being human both beautiful and equally terrifying. And that’s okay. But it doesn’t mean you have to tone yourself down to fit into their palette.

Take up your space. Stop doubting your heart just because someone else can’t comprehend it. Your journey is yours alone, and that alone makes it worthy. You are allowed to feel deeply, to speak openly, to live unapologetically. The world needs more people who dare to show up as their full selves. Messy emotions, wild dreams, bright sparks and all the rest of it!
