Building a Hemisphere – Geometry and the Essence of Optical Art (Semiesfera geométrica al estilo de Vasarely)

In this new tutorial, I continue exploring the fascinating link between geometry and optical art.
After studying how grids and regular divisions create the illusion of movement and depth, we now take a step further — building a hemisphere in the style of Vasarely.
This tutorial focuses on technical precision: every line is drawn using only a ruler and compass, without numerical measurements or calculations. This approach allows the same geometric method to be applied at any scale — from a small sketch to a large mural — always maintaining perfect proportion and balance.
Here we’re not just drawing a hemisphere; we’re understanding the geometric logic that makes optical art possible.
In later videos, we’ll go deeper into color and light — but for now, the goal is to master the structure and rigor that define this style.

Después de estudiar cómo las tramas y divisiones regulares generan la ilusión de movimiento y profundidad, ahora damos un paso más: construiremos una semiesfera al estilo de Vasarely.
Este tutorial está centrado en la precisión técnica: cada línea se traza únicamente con regla y compás, sin medidas numéricas ni cálculos. Este método puede aplicarse a cualquier escala —desde un pequeño dibujo hasta una gran superficie mural— manteniendo siempre la proporción y la armonía geométrica.
Aquí no se trata solo de dibujar una semiesfera, sino de comprender la lógica geométrica que da vida al arte óptico.
Más adelante abordaremos el color y la luz, pero por ahora el objetivo es dominar la estructura y la rigurosidad que caracterizan este estilo.
