Hello everyone! Its been a great week for me, tiring, yes but fulfilling, though h I really can't juggle many things at once, but at least I tried my best to be able keep things in touch.

Every Sunday is me rest day from work, you know work seems to become a little prison for me especially when things gets heavy but I don't worry abot that because my beloved husband would do all that he can to helpt.me unwind, he takes me with him on his work and when it's done, we usually go to places but our all time favourite place to go is the farm.

Last Sunday, he got busy on refereeing a basketball game and went home late, I stayed at home the whole day and he asked me to go home early so we could go to the farm. We usually visit the crops there but this time, we also had to gather firewood for cooking food at our home. That's when I saw these chickens.; they are my mum's.

This is my entry

My mum had been raising chickens since I was young, I remember her I helped her when I was about 3 years old and we were very lucky that the eggs the hen just had didn't brea when it fell, we both laughed and she said the eggs are soft when they come out.

Her chickens also helped to meet my needs in school and I am very grateful of my mum. Now she's a widow, she still had them and her greatest challenge is the abandoned dogs of the neighbours that keeps attacking her chickens that she caged them to keep them from harm.

Oftentimes, i feel sorry for her whenever I hear her complain about the dogs, she often see her dead chickens around with bites.

The downfall of this method of rearring is that she needs lots of feeds to keep her chickens healthy and heavy yet we are struggling financially and I hope that one day, I will be able to help her build bigger chicken cage and will help her rear motre of them. For now, we are trying our incubator, the husband bought it from a friend and of it is successful, we sure will be using it to hatch my mum's chicken's eggs soon.

As I went near the cage to rake pictures, the chicken got curious about me, perhaps they knew I wasn't my mum I didn't bring food either but I peeked my camera on their cage causing them ot be curious, and soon the hot cautious as well. They knew they there were lots of dangers out their.

Anyway, I always found it cute whe the chickens raise their heads to the maximum capacity of their neck just to see what's beyond. Do you too?

This will be all for now, keep safe and stay happy.

Me enacnmtó leerte. Suerte.

That's sad to hear. My cousins abandoned thier dogs and they thrived buy hunting other animals. It's sad they had to go through that and sadde to lose livestock because of them. Best of luck to all of us

Greetings, friend @joycemarinduque.

Chickens are birds that can bring many benefits to the home, especially if they are laying hens. Raising them in those conditions is problematic.

Thank you for joining the contest.
