It rained yesterday, it would seem nothing special, it rained like rain, but it rained for so long that then there were puddles for half a day, and the droplets on the leaves sparkled in the rays of the sun until they dried up. It happens in calm weather.
Вчера у нас был дождь, казалось, что ничего особенного, дождь как дождь, вот только шел он так долго, что потом полдня стояли лужи, а каплюшки на листве искрились в лучах солнца пока не высохли. В безветренную погоду так и бывает.
