Resilience
Resilience is the capacity of a person or a group to overcome adverse moments and adapt after experiencing an unusual and unexpected situation.
Sometimes, difficult circumstances or traumas allow the development of resources that were latent and that the person was unaware of until that moment.
According to several studies, there are different circumstances that may or may not favor the development of resilience in each person, such as education, family relationships and social context.
The Immaculate Conception Church, located in the central area of Barquisimeto, was the first catholic temple of the city, dating back to the end of the XVI century when it was just an improvised and humble chapel of wattle and daub and thatched roof that later underwent transformations.
Its current structure dates from 1853, after being remodeled as a result of the damage caused by earthquakes in 1736 and 1812, the latter of great magnitude, which affected much of the Venezuelan territory.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original images to my satisfaction.
Resiliencia
La resiliencia es la capacidad que posee una persona o un grupo, de sobreponerse a momentos adversos y adaptarse luego de experimentar alguna situación inusual e inesperada.
En ocasiones, las circunstancias difíciles o los traumas permiten desarrollar recursos que se encontraban latentes y que la persona desconocía hasta ese momento.
Según diversos estudios, existen distintas circunstancias que favorecerán o no el desarrollo de la resiliencia en cada persona, como lo es la educación, las relaciones familiares y el contexto social.
La Iglesia Inmaculada Concepción, ubicada en el casco central de Barquisimeto, fué el primer templo católico de la ciudad, remóntandose su construcción a finales del Siglo XVI cuando apenas era una improvisada y humilde capilla de bahareque y techo de paja que posteriormente sufrió transformaciones.
Su estructura actual data de 1853, luego de fuese remodelada como consecuencia de los destrozos causados por terremotos en los años 1736 y 1812, este último de una gran magnitud, y que afectó a gran parte del territorio venezolano.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
