Summer Vibes
On June 21, the summer solstice arrived in the northern hemisphere, and for many inhabitants of the planet this means, among other things, rest, vacations, travel and lots and lots of sun and heat.
In the summer the days get longer, while the nights get shorter, which invites a greater number of outdoor activities, which at other times of the year usually have greater restrictions. Summer has also been associated since ancient times with abundance, fertility and fullness, while in China, this season symbolizes energy, action and transformation.
A few weeks ago, I traveled to Tucacas, a coastal town in western Venezuela, located near the Morrocoy National Park, a large protected natural area that includes land and sea areas, and is a popular tourist destination for those who enjoy relaxing and practicing water sports, particularly during the holiday season.
During my short stay, I stayed in an apartment on the 18th floor of a residential tourist complex, from where I had a view, on one side, of the immensity of the Caribbean Sea, and on the other, of the central part of the town, with the sea and the mangroves in the background.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original images to my satisfaction.
Vibras de Verano
El pasado 21 de Junio, llegó el solsticio de verano al hemisferio norte, y para muchos habitantes del planeta esto significa, entre otras cosas, descanso, vacaciones, viajes y mucho, mucho sol y calor.
En el verano los días se alargan, mientras las noches se acortan, lo que invita a realizar un mayor número de actividades al aire libre, lo que en otras épocas del año suele tener mayores restricciones. También el verano ha estado asociado desde tiempos ancestrales con la abundancia, la fertilidad y la plenitud, mientras que en China, esta estación simboliza la energía, la acción y la transformación.
Hace unas semanas atrás, viajé a Tucacas, una población costera del occidente de Venezuela, ubicada en las cercanías del Parque Nacional Morrocoy, una extensa área natural protegida que comprende zonas terrestres y marítimas, y que constituye un destino turístico muy apreciado por quienes disfrutan del descanso y de la práctica de deportes acuáticos, particularmente durante las temporadas vacacionales.
Durante mi corta estadía, me alojé en un apartamento en el piso 18 de un complejo turístico residencial, desde donde tenía vista, por un lado a la inmensidad del Mar Caribe, y por el otro, al casco central del poblado, con el mar y los manglares de fondo.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir las imágenes originales a mi entera satisfacción.
