LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY/ART - Week 243 - My happy place
Oman is a dry land with the Arabian sea coastline running through the country. What I enjoy most about this place is the easy accessibility to the mountains and beaches. Muscat is the capital of Oman, where I live and it's a small city, if we have to calculate the main city limits, it's barely 30 kms. The city is surrounded by mountains, not all of them are accessible, but there are a few which are and the drive up is smooth with well planned roads.
This is on one of our mountain trips, the valley view from top.

@nainaztengra, these views of Shorfet Mountain are absolutely breathtaking! The contrast between the rugged landscape and the clear blue sky is stunning. It's easy to see why this is your happy place. I especially love the first photo, capturing the vast valley below – it really puts the scale of the mountains into perspective.
Thanks for sharing a glimpse of Muscat and the natural beauty of Oman. It's fascinating to hear about the easy access to both mountains and beaches. What a unique and wonderful place to call home!
I'm curious, what's your favorite time of year to visit Shorfet Mountain, and are there any other easily accessible mountain spots you'd recommend? Keep sharing these gorgeous views!
True, the scale of this place always makes me feel so insignificant in front of it and that's where I also realize the power of nature and it keeps me grounded.
The best time to visit is between March to Nov, while in the city if the temperature is 45 degrees, up here it will be 25 degrees, so it's a perfect spot to beat the heat. Between Dec and feb the temperature falls drastically, and I am not the one who enjoys that type of climate. It goes to 5 and 10 degrees, so I do not prefer going in these months.
