Palace of Versailles
A day at the Palace of Versailles is a must every time you happen to be in Paris, France. The estate has so much to offer, both indoor and outdoor, that you simply cannot see it all in one day. Even if you rent a golf cart to drive around the estate you still can’t do it all in just a day. Some people choose to stay nearby for two nights and do a couple of days in the Palace of Versailles.
Whilst strolling in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles this time of the year you also get to enjoy the musical fountain show. There are 75 shows in 2025 which feature 55 pools and fountains, 600 water features in total. A team of 13 fountain engineers ensure it all runs smoothly and lives up to your expectations. Believe it or not the 35 km piping system remains unchanged since the 17th century.

There's something about those hedgerows or box plants that just speak to me. The care that goes into getting them like that is always impressive to me.
