Hope In Tomorrow, Work For Today
Hope carries so much power because it gives us the reason to dream and to believe that tomorrow will be better than today. However, hope on its own cannot deliver the required result. If you just sit and wish and dream for something to happen for you - like having a better job, better life, etc, without lifting a finger, then nothing will change. Your optimism has to be met with responsibility before results can be birthed. Your hope must match up with action in order for success to come. If you have hope that tomorrow will be great, then you have to be willing to put it to work today.

I have done farming for a little time in the past when I used to visit my grandpa during the vacation period, so I know a bit about farming. A farmer may be hoping for bountiful harvest, but in order for it to happen, he has to plant the seeds, manure or fertilise it, water it, then observe all the necessary farm practices. Otherwise his hopes of having a bountiful harvest will just be empty. In the same way in life, your dreams and your visions for tomorrow will demand that you should act now. What you do today and the actions you take in the now are like sowing a seed that will mature in the future. It is what you act now that will determine how your future will be.
The hope in tomorrow will give you the strength that is required to face today. If you know that tomorrow will be better and that good things will definitely come, you will not give up today. In fact, you will keep pushing through because you know that something good is coming. Just like a student that already has his eyes on the degree result, he will not give up at his final exam because he knows that he is on the edge of his breakthrough. In your place of work for example, when you know that if you work hard and meet certain targets, you will be promoted, it will give you the driving force to push harder to meet the required target. It is hope that keeps you going even when it looks almost tiring to take one more step.
It is worthy to note that your hope may not deliver overnight. In fact, certain results take time and processes, yet giving up is not an option. It is the sacrifices of today that will generate the results of tomorrow. So you have to trust the process and keep going. Creating the kind of tomorrow that you want is not just about wishing for it or having hopes alone, even though you are to be hopeful. Much more than that, you need to put in actions. At some points, you might even feel discouraged or may even face some setbacks, but it does not mean that your dreams will not come true. As long as you keeping acting, then the result is sure to come. You do not achieve greatness by just being a dreamer but by also being a doer.

Hope is much more than words. When you wake up in the morning, you need to have a clear goal of what you want to do for the day. Always ask yourself what actions you will take for the day that will move you closer to the actualization of your dreams. Even the little steps that you take matter much. For example, you may set a goal of finishing a particular books in a month. Looking at it, it may look big, but when you break it down to small pages daily, it will be easier to achieve. In the same way, the little actions that you put in today, over time, will become the basis on which your future will be built, and they will lead you towards achieving your dreams.
Always have in mind that having hope without putting actions is just like a wild fantasy and a daydream. It is when you have hope in tomorrow, then put in actions and consistent effort today, that will create the kind of future you have desired. A friend once made a comment during one of my discussions with him some weeks back and I will conclude with it. He said "hope will give you the vision of what needs to be, but action will bring it to life."
