A Holiday to Aceh's Forest Clove Plantation

Hello all Steem users, wherever you are, on vacation on this sunny and hot Sunday.

As I said before, if you're planning a beach vacation, a mountain retreat, the ocean, a trip to the supermarket, or a mall, I hope you're enjoying your vacation with your family.

So am I, but this time, my vacation was limited to searching for clove seedlings in the Acehnese forest, which grow without any special care. On this trip, I'll take you through some of the images I've captured during my journey through the Acehnese forest.

After an hour's journey, I finally arrived at a clove tree growing naturally in the "Cot Murbo Village" area.

Clove Garden Locations

At this location, I took a short break and looked at the enormous tree trunk, which was growing and thriving, yet uncared for by its original owner. I came to this area accompanied by a local resident, who had obtained permission to visit the clove tree.

As you can see above, the clove seeds grew naturally under this large tree, and I immediately pulled them out, noting the leaves that had two segments that could grow and develop faster if planted in black plastic media.

After I removed the seedlings still clinging to the top of the clove roots, I immediately went home and placed them in a bucket filled with water to prevent them from dying if left without even a little water.

Adding Soil to Plastic Planting Media

Without wasting any time, I immediately collected the soil and placed it in a polybag planting medium to sow the clove seeds I had removed.

Below is the process I followed.

After I'd added all the soil into the planting medium, I immediately planted the clove seedlings into the growing medium. I followed up with regular watering today and in the future, of course.

Results of Clove Seedlings Planted 2 Weeks Ago

Below, you can see that two weeks ago, I also sowed one-hand-sized star anise seeds. I'm grateful to see them growing well and thriving. The initial soil fertility was achieved by mixing used buffalo dung with the soil. However, I haven't yet applied fertilizer, which I purchased from a nearby fertilizer store.

I haven't fertilized yet because the clove seedlings are still adapting to the environment. After three months, I'll apply a special urea fertilizer for clove plants.

Let's see what the results of planting the clove seedlings two weeks ago look like:

That concludes my account of my visit to an abandoned clove plantation in the Acehnese forest. I hope this planting effort proves successful.

For those of you who are interested in clove seedlings, please contact me to obtain them.

I'll end here. Best regards
