A Visit to Andrews Farm Market & Winery, Canada.png

Have you ever been to strawberry or cherry picking?
If yes, then you already know the joy I would be talking about. I visited a beautiful strawberry and cherry farm. It was my first experience. I love nature and also fruits. It was the sweetest experience I had this summer.

Strawberries and cherries are already my favourite. I was super excited after seeing the farm and had a great experience picking. I went there with my husband. He unexpectedly offered me if I wanted to visit the farm for picking, and obviously, how could I say no to this offer?

We went to the Andrews Farm Market & Winery. The scorching sun was already melting us, and I forgot to put on a hat in this heat. There was a long queue for admission.

The timings were 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 5pm Weekends & Holidays

Walk-in Admission Tickets:
Free: Little ones aged 0–5 can join the fun for free
$17 +HST: Adventurers aged 6–64
$13 +HST: Seniors aged 65+

The baskets we bought were $5 each. Our admission ticket + basket cost us $41.

The cost of fruits we would be picking — we would have to pay for them as well. I thought it would be free after paying the admission fee, but it was calculated at the end of the trip, which I will be sharing at the end of this post.

We headed towards the strawberry fields. The farm had corn, cherries, apples, blueberries, but mainly the fields were of strawberries. I was only eating fresh strawberries while my husband was picking. He was working so hard in the scorching sun while I wasn't letting him fill the basket 🤭. He didn't say anything, but then I started picking also. I almost ate 1 or 2 pounds of strawberries in the field while picking. We both enjoyed it a lot.

We also went to pick apples, but they were green, unripe apples. Then we went to pick cherries. Cherries are also my favourite. We collected a whole basket of cherries.

Cherry picking

In the end, the price of strawberries and cherries was calculated. The strawberries we picked were almost 6 pounds, and the price was $4 per pound, totalling $24. And the cherries were $18. Fruits were $42 in total.

We went to the restaurant after the farm; we were both hungry and thirsty. We went to Champion Doner. It is a Turkish restaurant where they sell shawarma. I love shawarma, whether it is a shawarma plate or a wrap. We ordered a shawarma plate, and even while writing this post, I started craving it again 🤭.

The total damage we had was $130. (684 steem) Mostly, we spend our weekends doing groceries and laundry, so it was a very refreshing experience after a long time.

Thank you for visiting, hope you enjoyed.
