True. Yet, VAR decisions are still subject to referee's interpretations. Take last night's Argentina's hand, for example. Several VAR decisions with ball handling were much less obvious yet the ref didn't call the penalty. Too much was at stake... for FIFA.
There was a discussion about it in Belgium. Apparently the ref took the correct decision. There is a guideline which says that if the balls comes from the head and than goes against and arm or hand, it should be considere no handball!
I was surprised because Argentina did profit a lot from this situation!
😂
It has something to do with the fact that n these cases most of the time the handball wasn’t intentional!
I think that they also should take a possible advantage into the decision! I don’t mind if it was intentional or not, I care about advantage or not!
I thought that they got rid of this un-intentional misinterpretations...
At least, in some cases, the defender was hit in the hand with the ball while his arm was hanging centimeters from his body and there was clearly no intention of stopping the ball. Yet, they called the penalty.
Eh, our discussion is fruitless. Imagine Argentina going out after the first round. Millions of people in despair, many heart attacks, Maradona included. Powerful backstage players not impressed. This just can't happen.
Football is a business first and nothing else second. Like Olympics...

If there is such a guideline then I don't understand the reasoning. When you follow this logic then header goals shouldn't be allowed :)
