I'm fortunate to join Steemit Learning Challenge Season 27 and partake my participation for Week 1. First, I would like to thank steemitblog and the creator for giving us such an exciting theme — Desserts made from grains.

Why Desserts Are Special

Desserts aren't precisely food particulars; they're portion of our festivities. Whenever there's a marriage, Eid, birthday, or indeed a informal ingathering, desserts are the first commodity people ask about. They prevail affability to both our tongues and our cores. From classical recipes handed down from grandmothers to ultramodern baked particulars, desserts always append happiness to the table.

This week I selected a veritably popular and traditional sweet from my refinement — Baisan ki Barfi( Gram Flour Delight). It's plain, delicious, and long- lasting.


Recipe Baisan ki Barfi( Gram Flour Delight)

Ingredients I Used

Gram flour( Besan) – 2 mugs

Ghee( clarified adulation) – 1 ½ mugs

Sugar – 2 mugs

Water – 1 mug

Cardamom – 3 – 4 pieces

Milk – 3 tbsp

Almonds & Pistachios – for garnishing

Preparation Steps

Step 1

Take 2 mugs of gram flour in a bowl. Add 3 tbsp of milk and 2 tbsp of ghee. Rub with your grasp until it changes into a coarse texture.

Step 2

Sieve the flour admixture to insure fine grains. This helps in making smooth and indeed barfi.

Step 3

Now rally the flour in anon-stick visage at low flame. Stir continuously until it changes its shade to golden brown and the incense starts to spread.

Step 4

In another pan, form sugar syrup applying 2 mugs sugar and 1 mug water. Add cardamom while boiling. Cook until the syrup is thick and forms a single filament between your fritters.

Step 5

Mix roasted flour with the sugar syrup. Add the dwelling ghee sluggishly and cook while shifting. The admixture will startle to condense and come simultaneously.

Step 6

Grease a tray with ghee, spread diced almonds and pistachios at the base, and stream the admixture over it. Spread equally and leave it set.

Step 7

After a few minutes, cut into foursquare or diamond forms.

Final Thoughts

Making Baisan ki Barfi reminded me of family fests when ancients applied to prep it at home. This form isn't exclusively simple but alike keeps fluently for weeks, making it perfect for storehouse. I delighted this challenge and feel forwards to the coming weeks with more exciting desserts!
