SLC27-W1 // "Desserts From Grain"

Hello dear Steem family,


Whenever I suppose about desserts, my head travels agone to my grandmother’s kitchen. The special scent of roasted semolina or gram flour circulating in the all house existed enough to form everyone smile. For us, desserts were noway just food — they were occasions of blessedness, family adherence, and fests.

That’s why I'm veritably happy to take part in Steemit Learning Challenge Season 27. This week is about Desserts from Grains, and I require to partake a recipe that's close to my heart Soji ka Halwa( Semolina Pudding).


Why I Chose This Recipe

Soji ka Halwa is one of those desserts that has existed portion of every circumstance in my family. Whether it was Eid morn, a guest coming suddenly, or indeed when someone attained megahit in examinations — this halwa was continually prepared. It's expeditious, plain, and full of nostalgic warmth.

Recipe Soji ka Halwa

Ingredients

Semolina – 1 cup

Ghee – ½ cup

Sugar – 1 cup

Water – 3 cups

Cardamom – 3 pods

Diced nuts – sprinkle

My Cooking Process

1. Roasting Semolina

Slowly, I added semolina and swirled it on medium heat. It pivoted golden and the nutty scent charged the room.

2. Adding sugar and ghee

Precisely, I streamed water and also sugar. At this stage, I observed stirring so it wouldn’t solidify lumps.

3. Adding water and cardamom

Than I add some water in the halwa and also add cardamom and colour for better look and aroma.

4. Final Touch

After a several minutes, the ghee startled divorcing and the mix twirled lumpy. I garnished it with almonds and pistachios before serving.

✨ The halwa was gentle, rich, and assuring — precisely how my grandmother utilized to form it.
