Welcome to Steemit Learning Challenge Season 27. I would like to thank @steemitblog for giving me this opportunity. In this course we will explore the different Desserts every week, their ingredients, their cooking style, and a food recipe that is the most popular.
Introduction to Desserts
Desserts are very important part of a menu specially if we talk about any gatherings, party or event. In fact; Desserts are sweet treats for everyone that bring joy and satisfaction . Desserts are of various flavors, and textures, kinds, offering something for everyone. It could be an ice-cream, classic cakes and pastries and fruity delights, desserts are a delightful way to end a meal or satisfy a sweet tooth. You can add many other Dessertsof your choices, desserts have great power to evoke emotions and imprints lasting memories. Thats the reason any special occasion can't be completed without dessert. With countless possibilities and innovations, the world of desserts is always sweet and exciting to explore.
Desserts From Grain
In first week we will learn about the desserts which can be made by grains. Mostly flour, oat, gram flour ,salmonella are used in making desserts. Their making and cooking techniques will be discuss in this week.
Desserts from grain can be unique and delicious. They give unique blend of texture and flavour. These desserts are nutritious. Whole grains provide fiber and nutrients. Different grains can be used in different ways or in forms in various dessert recipes.
Grain-based desserts evoke warmth and nostalgia.
A number of desserts can be made from grain like sweet rice, rice pudding, oat cookies, cakes, biscuits, Samolina pudding etc. I'll share sweets and desserts other than cakes or cookies as we have learnt many times in different learning challenge.
For today's contest I'm going to share two very easy and delicious recipe of gram flour delight and Samolina pudding
Baisan ki Barfi or Gram flour Delight

This is a recipe of very delicious sweet that is made with less ingredients and can be stored for a month. In our tradition sweets are common. Let's start today's recipe

Gram flour 2cups |
---|
Clarified butter/ghee /oil 2cups |
Sugar 2cups |
Water 1cup |
Cardamom 3-4 |
Milk 3-4 tbsp |
Almonds, pistachios as per taste |
Orange food color 2 pinch |
Take 2 cups gram flour in bowl and add 3tbsp of oil in it and mixed both ingredients well by rubbing hands , its texture changes from powder to granular and we need this texture to make perfect sweet. Now add 2-3 tsp of milk in it and mixed it again nicely by rubbing.
Strain this mixture through the strainer to get fine granular texture.

- Now take a clean and dry pan . Put this granular gram flour on it and at low flame roasted the gram flour. It takes 5-76 minutes to roast. Roast until its colour changes from light yellow to golden and a good aroma of roasted gram flour comes out from it. Take out roasted gram flour from pan.

- Take another pan add 2cups of sugar and 1 cup of water ,3-4 Cardamom and 2 pinch food colour. Make its sugar syrup. The consistency should be mentain to get perfect results. It is done in 5-6 minutes. Take some syrup in your finger and check if its sticky and started to make a thread between two fingers. Its ready now.

- Grease a pan or try wherebyou want to set and at its base spread chopped Almonds/nuts of your choice.

- Now add sugar syrup in roasted gram flour, add remaining clarified butter/ghee and cook it by mixing continuously.
- After 4-5 minutes it starts getting thick if you feel it dry you can add 1-2tsp of ghee. After some time of mixing it becomes collected and the whole mixture move with the Spatula at once. Thats mean sweet is ready.

- Now pour this mixture in greased mold and set it evenly. After 3-4 minutes cut the sweet in desired shape and size.

- Gram flour Delight is ready to serve ,its a perfect recipe for any occasion and gathering.

Soji ka Halwa Samolina Pudding
Its bery quick , easy and delicious recipe.
Samolina 3/4cup |

Clarified butter/oil 1/2 cup
sugar 1cup |
Cardamom2-3|
Food color optional|
Nuts chopped|
- Add clarified butter/oil in pan add Cardamom and fry it for 1-2 minutes. Add Samolina in it and roadt it for few mins until great aroma comes out.

- Add suger in it and add 3cups of water. Then add food color its optional. And cover the lid for few minutes. After 3-4 minutes oil starts separate from the mixture now it's ready to serve.

- Now take out this halwa in a pan and garnishes it eith nuts.

These two sweets or desserts are completely new to me, which I have never eaten or made. InshaAllah, I will definitely try to prepare them. I believe this experience will be very pleasant because I am a dessert lover; I like sweets and desserts from my childhood.😁😋
