[Summary] SLC-S25/W1 | Community World Tour : Traditional Cuisine
Introduction
Hello Steemians,
We are excited to share the recap of Week 1 of the Community World Tour – Season 25, where we celebrated one of the richest cultural elements: Traditional Cuisine. From family memories to national culinary symbols, participants invited us into their kitchens and hearts with dishes that tell stories, represent heritage, and transcend borders.
Throughout this week, we discovered:
- Recipes passed down from generations
- The emotional and historical background of traditional dishes
- Stunning photographs and authentic video testimonials
- An intercultural dialogue through storytelling and food
This first theme successfully launched a vibrant journey through cultures and flavors, enriching Steemit with delicious content full of soul and authenticity.

This week, we received a total of 27 valid and original entries, each meeting the participation criteria with genuine content and no signs of AI or plagiarism.
Quality Category | Number of Entries | Percentage |
---|---|---|
Excellent (9-10/10) | 13 | 48% |
Good (8–8.99/10) | 10 | 37% |
Satisfactory (7–7.99/10) | 4 | 15% |
These numbers reflect a remarkable engagement, with nearly half of all submissions rated as excellent — a testament to the depth, sincerity, and creativity of our community.

After a meticulous evaluation based on the 10-point scale covering storytelling, recipe clarity, location tagging, media originality, and community interaction, the following participants were awarded a perfect 10/10 and emerged as our six champions of the week:

All six winners demonstrated exceptional cultural storytelling, visual creativity, and deep culinary authenticity, aligning perfectly with the spirit of the Community World Tour.
Narrative Richness
- Most participants successfully told personal stories or highlighted regional customs connected to the dish.
- Emotional and historical dimensions were common, making the reading experience truly immersive.
Authentic Visual Media
- All entries contained original photos with handwritten signs, and many included video recordings via Speak on Steem, offering unique added value.
Community Interaction
- Comment exchanges between users were dynamic, with participants actively discovering dishes from other cultures through SteemAtlas pins and engaging questions.
Suggestions for Improvement
- A few entries missed the optional video element. Future participants are encouraged to include at least a brief video, even using a mobile phone.
- Some stories could be enhanced with more precise location references for better use of SteemAtlas.

Conclusion
Week 1 of the Community World Tour – Season 25 was a resounding success. Through Traditional Cuisine, we shared more than recipes — we shared identities, memories, and pride.
This kickoff proves the Steemit community's remarkable ability to transform a digital platform into a cultural mosaic of tastes, emotions, and connections.
Congratulations to our six winners, and sincere thanks to all participants for your dedication and heartfelt contributions.
Let’s keep exploring the world together — stay tuned for Week 2 of the challenge!

Congrats to the winners who got 10/10. Good job 👍🏻 yes , I Couldn't win because of not had video channel to meet the requirement last question. Any how happy to be part of that challenge.
@kuoba01
You made a mistake on my score, you scored me 9.5 instead of 10/10 because you said I didn’t use speem to post my video but I did use speem. I tagged three times in the last two days to review my post and you never replied to that. I wasn’t expecting that from you as someone I held in high esteem. How can someone tag you three times and you ignore the person? Not even a single response from your end.
Hello @alexanderpeace,
First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delay in my response. I was traveling the last few days and unfortunately didn't see your tags in time.
Regarding the rating, I completely understand your disappointment. I would like to point out that the score of 1/1.5 didn't only concern the use of Speem for posting, but also elements related to the overall quality of the video (editing, audio, pacing, visual engagement, etc.). These are criteria that we tried to apply fairly to all participants.
That said, your work remains remarkable, and I am convinced that if you continue in this vein, you will most certainly be among the winners next week. Your commitment and creativity are greatly appreciated.
Again, sorry for the misunderstanding, and thank you for your understanding.
Congratulations to all the winners, I am so happy for to see this surprised. Thank you @kouba01. I am grateful 🥲
