I am starting by wishing all my Steemit friends good health. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am very well. In the second week, I will participate in a great engagement challenge. Through this engagement challenge, I will be able to share with everyone about the customs of my country's festivals. So let's get started.
Ideas about festivals
Today, I am sharing with you about the customs of a social festival of our country, the wedding festival. Wedding festivals in Bangladesh are celebrated with great pomp. This wedding festival lasts for 3 days, in some cases for four days, this festival is celebrated with the sound of different customs. Everyone organizes the wedding festival according to their ability. Below are three ways in which festivals are celebrated, such as: Yellow Evening Festival, Wedding Day Festival, and Wedding Ceremony Festival. Now let's write a description of the customs of the festival.
Yellow Evening Festival :
The day before the wedding, the yellow evening festival is celebrated at the groom's house and the phone's house in the evening. This festival is mainly celebrated by the groom and his sister's house. The groom's house and the sister's house are decorated in various ways, which are magnificent and they are invited. All the young and old boys and girls come beautifully dressed and apply turmeric on the bride and groom's body and feed them various kinds of fruits. At this time, the groom is beautifully dressed in the wedding corner. In addition, when the groom arrives at his sister's house, the people of the bride's family stand and honor the groom's family, and when the groom's family also goes to the groom's house, they honor the people of the bride's family with various types of flowers.
To celebrate this festival, whoever can do a stage, many people give turmeric. Then the bride and groom, along with their friends and relatives, dance and bring it to the stage. Then various cultural programs are held and turmeric is given to the bride, fruits are eaten and henna is given to the bride. This festival lasts until almost midnight on the day before the wedding.
When the bride is brought to the stage to be given turmeric, everyone dances and sings, and the bride also dances.
Wedding day festival:
On the wedding day, all the invited relatives are given food together and through this festival, all the relatives can get together and find each other and chat. Through this festival, the relationship with the relatives is strengthened. At the wedding, the people of the sister's house hold the gate of the bride and take money from the groom. This is a very important and fun national custom. Because here the cousins and friends of both sides have a lot of fun. Then the food and drink are arranged.
Then the cousins of the bride's side steal the groom's shoes and the groom's side gives money and takes it. All the moments of the wedding day are very happy. Then the bride is beautifully decorated and separately from everyone.
According to the Islamic tradition, the bride and groom's wedding is then performed where the groom and the bride's side are all present.
After the wedding, the groom and the bride are seated together on the stage or in the room of the sister's house and their faces are shown through a mirror with a veil over them. This is a very common custom and a moment of joy and fun. Because at this time, all the cousins and friends of the groom and the bride have a lot of fun together.
During the festival , the bride's mother-in-law hands over the daughter to the son and it is a very heartbreaking time. Because at this time, even if no one wants it, everyone's heart is sad. Then the bride is welcomed at the groom's house. This is usually done by the mother-in-law. This has been the custom for ages. This is how the wedding day festival is celebrated.
Wedding Day Festival:
The wedding day festival is celebrated at the groom's house on the day after the wedding. On this day, the groom's relatives and the bride's relatives are invited to the groom's house and lunch is usually arranged for everyone. The food items include pulao, chicken roast, beef, jordavat, curd, borhani, and seven up, etc. Many families add more items to the food during the wedding. In this way, all the wedding activities are completed according to the customs and rules.
This is a moment of celebration and tradition for a Muslim in Bangladesh. For ages, the wedding festival has been celebrated according to the rules and regulations in Muslim weddings. In the past, the rules of marriage were the same, only in the present era some joyful moments or traditions have been added.
Although it is a social festival, everyone rejoices in this festival along with the bride and groom.

I love the outfit of the ladies. They are well covered unlike some part of this country where opening of the body is the other of the day. Marriage is a good thing as such it such be well celebrated.

You have shared a very nice post with us about wedding celebrations in Bangladesh. The way weddings are celebrated in our country is not the same as in other countries of the world. However, there are some similarities with the neighboring countries of India and Pakistan. I am not able to see the video you uploaded, perhaps the video is not public or was deleted after posting. Wow, the traditions in your community are similar to some of ours. Not exactly the same but in all parts but in adjoining states like Tripura, Bengal and Assam these are common practices. Thanks for showing us the great traditions of your country.
