Assalamu Alaikum,
Hello everyone,
I am @selina1

From #Bangladesh

I'm starting by wishing all my Steemit friends good health. I've been sick for the past few days, but by the grace of God, I'm feeling much better today. Anyway, I'll be participating in a great engagement challenge today. The theme of this week's engagement challenge is SLC-S25/W4 | Community World Tour: Folk Costumes and Arts. So let's get started.

Fashion Fusion: A traditional cultural dress of the country, the saree.

I went to a place with my girlfriend after a long time and we both decided to wear the cultural dress of our country. So we went there wearing our favorite saree and we walked around. Saree is a traditional cultural dress of our country. I wore a very beautiful hijab with the saree, which honors my Islam. Since childhood, I have seen our grandmothers, great-grandmothers and mothers wearing sarees to maintain their tradition. So I can proudly call our saree-wearing fashion, "Mother's Fusion".

We Bengalis believe that wearing a saree enhances the beauty of women, meaning "women are beautiful in sarees".

Here I am wearing a saree, hijab and my girlfriend is wearing a saree with open hair and beautiful earrings, a stole in her hand. That is, the wind of nature is swaying our bodies. That is why a Bengali is full of unique beauty. We were walking hand in hand in beautiful nature wearing sarees. And this is a cultural form of Bengalis.

Cultural form:

The traditional and cultural element of Bangladesh is the saree. The history of sarees is very ancient, sarees are traditionally worn on various social and religious occasions.
When wearing a saree, Bengali women respect their own tradition and culture and it is identified as a symbol of their self-esteem and self-identity. Bengali girls usually learn to wear sarees from their mothers. That is, we learn this culture from our mothers.

Ancient vs Modern

The picture of the Yellow Evening Ceremony that I am sharing with you. Wearing a saree in social events is a tradition in our country. Me and my aunty wore beautiful sarees to attend the event. Here I wore a silk saree, hijab and some ornaments. My aunty wore a Qatar saree blouse and some ornaments. It is said that an aunty is the second mother, that is, the only aunty who always loves like a mother. The dress we wore for this event has enhanced our beauty and we have retained our culture.

Because since the past, Bengali girls usually wear sarees in the Yellow Evening Ceremony, but only the type of saree has changed. For example, in the past, Bengali girls used to wear sarees of different types of cotton and different types of prints. Currently, during the Pradeep period, different types of sarees have been made to retain the saree culture. In this, current girls can wear sarees according to their taste and retain the culture. That is why different types of sarees are available today.

Thread Story:

Bengali women believe that wearing a saree increases a woman's self-esteem. Even today, Bengali women wear sarees on special days such as "Pohela Baishakh". Wearing a saree is a part of Bangladeshi culture. A piece of cloth or saree is considered an integral part of Bangladeshi culture. The cover of the saree gives a woman completeness and charm. In organizing festivals, to blend one's personality with one's own emotions and feelings, the saree has undoubtedly been a unique and glorious symbol of nobility for Bengali women for ages.

  1. A Day in Costume.

The day I went out with my girlfriend and I was wearing a saree, my husband was with me. So I take a lot of pictures with my girlfriend and husband. We have a great time here and we are very happy that we were able to travel together wearing a dress from our culture.

The video of me walking on the railway tracks with my husband wearing a saree is given below.

Type less, smile more

Whenever I wear a saree on any occasion or special day, I find my mother in me. Because Bengali girls usually learn to wear a saree from their mother first. I am proud that I am a Bengali woman and have retained a culture of Bengali women. I love wearing sarees very much.
