Good publication, the advice you share is very useful in guiding the creation of a story, it can be taken as a kind of guide, but I also believe that in the exercise of writing the writer cannot be subject to a straitjacket. He has to feel free and, as you say, this can have a cathartic effect. Then, he gives free rein to his inspiration, he lets himself be carried away by what he feels and after that he shapes, revises, removes or adds elements until he achieves the best way of capturing on paper what he has thought and felt.
