RE: DECENTRALIZED Fiction Writing - Fabio and Emma - Third update

in #writing9 years ago

#1:

Fabio got off the train at the station. He looked around to confirm. Yes he was at Greenwich Station. He checked the email again. He thought about that name, Black Card Travel Society. Was this some secret society he was being lured to? Maybe it was an adventure society. To bring some adventure and excitement into ones life. Who could know? Fabio needed to know more. But how could he, without going there? But what if it was some type of trap? Too many questions, Fabio thought. Too much intrigue. He decided to throw caution to the wind.

He exited the station and turned around. He new Greenwich well enough to find his way around. The office he was looking for was three streets away. He could make his way there easily. Maybe five minutes, he thought to himself.

And then what? His heart was racing. He could feel his adrenaline pumping. This is crazy, isn't it? Fabio stopped, and caught his breath. What was he doing? Did he really know.

Stop second guessing yourself, he thought, almost saying the words out loud. Maybe he did. A few people looked at him as they walked past. He felt like he needed to calm down, take back control of his thoughts. He decided to just get it over and done with.

He got to the office, and took a quick look around the street before walking through the door. Inside was a small but neat office. Obviously some sort of travel agency. There was no one behind the desk, but there was a bell to ring. One of those old fashion ones, that you press with your palm. Fabio hit the bell.

And then out she walked. Fabio stared in disbelief. Am I being played, he thought. What is happening here? He didn't say anything, he felt unable to speak, but his mind had questions.

There before him stood Emma. Working there, at the Black Card Travel Society.

“Emma?” Fabio finally managed to speak her name.

“No,” she replied, my name is Rachel, “how may I help you?”

He showed her the email he received.

“We've been expecting you, Fabio. If you'd like to take seat,” she said whilst pointing to a nearby desk.

Fabio was more confused than ever. Had he just lost one Emma, and found another. Except it wasn't her. His world was dissolving right before his eyes, he thought. He decided he needed to know who Rachel really was.

I am so glad to see you joined in and with awesome chapters

I'm glad you liked them. It's all very mysterious, isn't it? A lot of fun though, seeing where it all goes.

I hope I find time to continue . I got some ideas
